German Cocktail Championship

This year, on 23rd July, more than 25 bar-keepers went into battle for victory at the German Cocktail Championship. The most convincing competitor was Markus Kern from Neuberg. He is the new winner of this year's Cocktail Championship which took place at the Eventpalast in Leipzig. His creation "Goodbye Thomas" convinced the jury in the "Open" category on Monday evening.

"Flair Tending" competitions also took place at the Cocktail Championship. This involves juggling and throwing bottles and the artistic mixing of a cocktail. The winner in this category was Hüseyin Kirac. Kirac, from Hesse, convinced the panel with his "Passion for Poison" drink and an impressive combination of cocktail creations and spectacular show-mix highlights.

Both winners will go on to represent Germany at next year's Cocktail World Championships in Prague.

As part of the 28th German Cocktail Championship, hosted by the German Barkeeper Union (DBU e.V.), Patrick Nottebaum (picture above), our Sales Manager for Hotels, Restaurants and Catering (HoReCa) was also on location where he presented our BASIC BAR SELECTION, SPOTS and SPOTS NEO, DANCING TUMBLER and HOMMAGE product ranges.
