BSH Hausgeräte GmbH
Optimally cleaning high-quality, sensitive glasses is laborious and a challenge. They break easily if they are cleaned or dried by hand. On the other hand, in dishwashers they often do not have a secure position or there are streaks on the glass after the rinse cycle.
The two companies Zwiesel Kristallglas AG and BSH Hausgeräte GmbH have been cooperating since 2012. Whereas ZWIESEL KRISTALLGLAS looks back on 140 years of the art of glassmaking and production, BSH Hausgeräte GmbH enriches the cooperation through its experience in the development of a comprehensive package of glass-sparing components in dishwashers. Together we are working to expand knowledge in terms of glass and glass protection, and in particular to constantly optimise the cleaning and drying of glasses in the dishwasher. The quality and brilliance of glasses will be durably preserved with clever ideas and technologies.
An example of this cooperation is the further development of sophisticated folding restraint systems in the dishwashers which enable flexible loading and thorough cleaning of glasses. For a particularly secure and stable hold, a special basket for stemware was created within the scope of the cooperation. In this basket, delicate glasses are securely and gently fixed, thoroughly rinsed and brilliantly dried – without re-polishing. Temperature and water hardness can also endanger the glass. That is why the two experts for glass and glass cleaning are continually working on new programmes which enable gentle cleaning even at low temperatures. Glasses are hygienically cleaned and retain their brilliance in interaction with an optimised, prolonged drying phase and a regulation of water hardness. Water and energy are additionally saved, especially in appliances with Zeolite® technology.
As a result Zwiesel Kristallglas AG and BSH Hausgeräte GmbH will remain ambassadors for quality, innovation and enjoyment in the future.
